ABOUT THE VACANCY
As a back-end Java developer you will focus primarily on the development of our data intensive back-end. This should be your next career step if you love large data sets and developing smart algorithms. As back-end developer you will be involved in all stages of development within our back-end team, from specification to design, development, testing, debugging and maintenance. You will work in a small development team where you’re exposed to bright people who combine their knowledge in order to improve our software. You have extensive experience with various open source technologies and you are an ace in serverside Java (Networking, Data Quality and Databases). You keep yourself up to date with the latest technologies.
CORE TASKS AND ACTIVITIES
- Implement new features and maintain existing back-end software
- Keep up-to-date with new emerging technologies that might be useful for the development of current and new applications
- Ensuring software quality (including Unit tests, Load tests, etc.)
YOUR PROFILE
You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in advanced J2EE development, strong analytical skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, possess a customer directed work posture and are fluent in English. Finally, you have a strong ‘can-do’ and pro-active attitude and the drive to accomplish tasks in a dynamic environment
