Vincent Hoogsteder – CEO and co-founder
Prior to founding Distimo, Vincent was Mobile Product Manager at eBuddy, the world’s largest independent web and mobile instant messaging service where he managed eBuddy’s mobile IM application from its inception and played a pivotal role in helping eBuddy to achieve more than 20M mobile app downloads worldwide in less than 2 years. Prior to eBuddy, Vincent launched two start-ups within the Internet and mobile sectors while studying at university.
Vincent holds a Masters Degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Twente in The Netherlands.
Remco van den Elzen – VP, Business Development and co-founder
Prior to co-founding Distimo, Remco gained experience in the mobile sector at eBuddy, the world’s leading independent web and mobile IM service. Prior to eBuddy, he was responsible for launching a technology-driven incubator for start-ups at the University of Twente where he also launched a start-up in the Internet sector.
Remco holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Twente in The Netherlands.
Ruben Heerdink – VP, Operations and co-founder
Prior to founding Distimo, Ruben was a Project Manager at eBuddy, the world’s largest independent web and mobile instant messaging service where he worked on a variety of projects including competitive research and business development. Prior to eBuddy, Ruben co-founded Xanco.com, a free web service for creating a personal web log using any mobile device with a built-in camera.
Ruben holds a Masters Degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Twente in The Netherlands.
Tom Jansen – VP, Development and co-founder
Prior to founding Distimo, Tom spent time as a Software Developer at NextSelect where he focused on the architecture and design of various types of web-based ERP solutions. He also held the role of Business Intelligence Analyst at eBuddy, the world’s largest independent web and mobile instant messaging service. In 2004, Tom co-founded XTR Shop, a platform to facilitate the hosting and development of kritikal.nl, a web shop specialized in extreme sports equipment, and in 2001 he co-founded Ninja ISD, a customized software solution for everything from web-based CMS solutions to low level server side daemons.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente in The Netherlands.
